Early William Spratling Eagle Taxco Brooch
We present this delightful Taxco brooch from the renowned William Spratling as part of the Vintage William Spratling Collection. This mid-century modernist brooch hails from his early design period, likely crafted between 1933 and 1938. It bears the hallmarks of a true collector's item and is a design rarely found for sale. A version of this brooch may be seen in Mexican Silver by Penny Morrell. Crafted from 980 sterling silver with a higher silver content than the more commonly seen 925 sterling silver, this exceptional treasure combines exceptional craftsmanship with the promise of a valuable investment.
