About Georg Jensen Silver Designer Gundorph Albertus

Gundorph Albertus was a well-known and talented designer who worked for the Georg Jensen Company.  Born in 1887, Gundorph was educated as a sculptor. He joined Georg Jensen in 1911, eventually married into the family, and became the assistant director in the latter part of his career. Gundorph Albertus worked for Georg Jensen until 1954. He was a pivotal designer, especially in silverware, having introduced famous designs such as the well-known cactus silverware pattern.
