This is a unique, rare master brooch designed by Georg Jensen, with the most exceptionally beautiful malachite -- the fineness and clarity of the striations are incredible. The most notable books on Georg Jensen Jewelry, Georg Jensen, A Tradition of Splendid Silver and Georg Jensen Jewelry, dedicate significant space to this important brooch. According to the Yale Press, this piece was designed in 1905 or 1906, shortly after Georg Jensen formed his business. This specific brooch was crafted between 1933 and 1944. It is in excellent condition, highly collectible, and simply spectacular.
